This got presented to me as a facebook sponsored post, but I actually enjoyed it. Car and Driver compiled a list of the cars with the best 0-60 by decade going back to the 50s.
Its interesting that by the 90s, that the top times were largely all under 4 seconds.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
I will say I did not expect to see a Vector on that list.

I’m surprised the F40 isn’t on the list. I can’t believe C&D has never gotten their hands on one to do an instrumented test.

Very cool story. Thank you for sharing.
I’m just happy to own one of the cars on that list.

I was surprised not to see it too. Not sure what the story is there.

60 years later, a Miata is as fast as a Ferrari Superfast.
The 959 was just insane for it’s time, as was the McLaren F1 ...

I like how they explained a lot of those times were set by manufacturers giving them ringers that were modified for better performance.
I can't believe that a stock 289 Mustang, even in top trim, could manage a sub 6 second 0 - 60.

My guess is that was one of the ringers...
I believe i read a stock 289 was putting down less than 200hp at the wheels, but it also didn’t weigh anything.
